Collecting the Motor Home

Brenna and I rented a car and drove to Anderson to pick up the motor home from Gammy Jean. After lunch on the river we climbed aboard the motor home and returned to Rocklin. The next day Dylan's Dad brought him down from Oroville and the three of us, Brenna, Dylan and Grandpa, packed up the motor home and headed south. We camped at Half Moon Bay, Morro Bay and McGrath State Beach Park in Oxnard on the way to Victorville.

We had a great trip even though we took a rock through the window in the cabover bunk and had to have the window replaced at Morro Bay.

In Oxnard the Reynolds picked us up at the campground and took us to dinner at the Whale's Tail in the marina. What a great dinner! And a great trip.

Colorado

Two boys from Northern Ireland spent the summer with the Westons under the Project Children program in which a Catholic and a Protestant youngster are domiciled with an American host family where they can learn tolerance and understanding away from the grim reality of armed conflict at home. Liam and Carmen have put together a wonderful web site with pictures and captions. Have a look. Link below.

Also, the Weston boys got a fantastic opportunity to ride in and fly a high performance airplane owned by a family friend.

All in all the Colorado Westons had one heck of a busy and exciting summer.

Now it's time for school and back to work.

Valley Center to the Beach

Patrick and Tammy got up early and drove their trailer to the beach at Carlsbad. Dylan, Brenna and I drove down to join them. Tim, Lynn and Alex showed up later. It was a great day for the beach. The only casualty was Brenna who got one mean sunburn. Timothy Patrick was introduced to the surf by his Dad.

Victorville

Dylan celebrated his 14th birthday at 5'10' and 160 lbs. He's worked much of the summer with his Dad dismantling old buildings.
Erin spent 2 weeks working at a summer camp near Monterey. She and Aaron went together. He worked security, Erin drove a tram.
I spent the month of July in Victorville staying with the kids while Chib worked days and attended masters' classes at night.

Tim's Birthday

Lynn threw Tim a great pool party on the 31st. Everyone got the chance to ooh and ahh over James Timothy and Timothy Patrick. Old friends from Simi days and all of the San Diego family were there. It was a great celebration for Tim's 45th.

July 2004		Happy Birthday to Mary Kate on the 22nd, Tim on the 29th and Dylan who was 14 years old on the 18th.			Happy 4th!
